I graduated from Quinnipiac University with a B.A. in Mathematics. I am currently attending URI to obtain a Masters of Arts and Teaching in hopes of becoming a high school math teacher. I want to become a teacher because I want to help excite students about math as opposed to being fearful of it, as many students are. I hope to bring creativity, confidence, and student-exploration to my classrooms.
I'm a very musical person and always have been. I've been playing the piano since I was five years old, and I love to sing. I've also learned how to play the violin, flute, and guitar. I grew up in Rhode Island, though my family and I have traveled a lot because of my father's job. He is an organic chemist and gives lectures around the world. As a result, I am privileged to be able to say that by the age of 13, I had been to nine countries outside of North America (Switzerland, Germany, Austria, England, Ireland, Italy, Brazil, The Czech Republic, and Liechtenstein). Though I can be shy, I do enjoy intellectual discussions, problem solving, and creative thinking.
